The White Earth DOVE Program provides the following services to victims/survivors of domestic violence, elder abuse, sexual assault, and trafficking:
- Crisis Intervention
- Advocacy (systems, legal, personal)
- Transportation for medical and legal appointments related to crime
- Empowerment sessions
- Assistance with orders for protection/harassment restraining orders
- Shelter and/or Safe Housing
- Information and referrals
- Assistance with creating safety plans
- Support during evidentiary exams
- Court accompaniment and support
- Assistance with victim impact statements
Homicide
- Advocacy (systems, legal, personal)
- Transportation for medical and legal appointments related to crime (survivors)
- Assistance with orders for protection/harassment restraining orders
- Shelter and/or safe housing for immediate survivors
- Information and referrals
- Assistance with creating safety plans (survivors)
- Court/trial/sentencing accompaniment and support
- Assistance with victim impact statements
- Assistance with Minnesota reparations claims for funeral expenses, crime scene cleanup and counseling expenses for immediate survivors
General Crime
Limited direct services and support are available for victims of general crime (burglary, theft, arson & vandalism), to be determined on a case-by-case basis. If you are a victim of crime, please report the crime to your local police department as soon as possible.
